Your calls stay on your computer.

The program

Hearing, translating and speaking all run on your computer. Dígame never sends your conversations, recordings or transcripts to us or anyone else, and we cannot see them. License keys are checked on your computer, without contacting us.

The program contacts the internet only to download things. It checks this website for signed updates (you can turn that off in Settings), sending the program's version with the request. It downloads the language models and GPU support you choose or that your computer can use, from this website and from the third-party hosts that publish them (Hugging Face, GitHub, the Python Package Index and CSC in Finland). Each host sees your computer's IP address, as any website does, and handles it under its own privacy policy.

The phone view, when you turn it on, shares captions only with devices on your own network that have its link. If you add your own key for a cloud translation engine, the words to be translated (never the audio) go to that provider under your agreement with it.

This website

This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising, and loads nothing from other companies' servers. It is served by Cloudflare, which processes your IP address, browser details and the pages you request in order to deliver and protect the site, and may keep them in its logs under Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not use that information to identify you.

When you write to us or buy a license

If you email us or buy a Business License, we keep what you send us and what we need to serve you: your name, company, email and billing address, the number of computers, your invoices and payments, and the license keys we issue. Our email runs on Google Workspace. Payments are handled by the bank or payment service you pay through, and we never receive full card numbers. Tips through the Buy me a coffee link go through PayPal under PayPal's privacy policy.

We use this information only to answer you, invoice you, issue and replace your keys, keep the records tax law requires, and enforce our license agreement. We do not sell or rent personal information, share it for advertising, or use it to build profiles. We share it only with the service providers named here, as the law requires, or with a buyer of our business, which would be bound by this policy.

How long we keep it

Billing and tax records are kept for as long as tax law requires, generally seven years. Correspondence is kept while it is useful to serve you and then deleted. Cloudflare's logs are kept under Cloudflare's own policy.

Your choices and rights

You may ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, by writing to licensing@armoredarmadillo.com. We will answer within the time the law where you live requires, and in any case within 45 days. We may keep what the law requires us to keep, such as tax records. If you live in a place whose laws give you further rights, such as California, the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have those rights too, including the right to complain to your data protection authority. We will not treat you differently for using them.

Children

Dígame and this website are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.

Where it is kept

We are in the United States, and information you send us is kept and processed there and by our service providers wherever they operate.

Security

We protect what we keep with reasonable safeguards, such as access limited to the people who need it and accounts secured with strong passwords and two-factor sign-in. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you as the law requires if a breach affects your information.

Changes

This policy is subject to change. We will post any change here with a new date at the top, and email Business License holders about a material change before it takes effect.
